About Maria

            I found massage therapy coming from a background in occupational therapy. Valuing functional independence and wellness through the lifespan is at the forefront of my practice’s focus. Being able to use both lenses together to help others achieve this brings me great purpose.

           After completing my Master’s degree in OT from Husson University in 2019, I worked in Southern Maine in outpatient neurodevelopment and home care services. During this work I was drawn to the impact of routine self care in clients’ lives and began to learn more about the tool of bodywork. Feeling intrigued, I attended the Downeast School of Massage and discovered my true passion for massage therapy. I then graduated in July of 2022 and opened my practice in Blue Hill. It’s been exciting to return to the area and share the gift of massage with the locals that make this area so special.
